Trials To Smile Through

I posted this on my Instagram the other day, and felt like sharing it here too. Because as we all know, this is the reality of life. Unexpected bumps along the road that we will all hit. Along with those, come the choices we make on handling them. Hopefully, the choices are to smile.

Took this pic the night my dad really started losing his battle with Parkinson’s and dementia, only a few weeks ago.

Tomorrow morning, we will find a new home for him, where they can care for him like he needs.

It’s genuinely astonishing how fast this is all happening, but that is life and all you can do is move forward.

Although I no longer have the incredible father that I’ve known for most of my life, I’m thankful for so many great years of wisdom and love.

I wish every moment could be filled with the stunning pictures that I adore taking. But sometimes, simply snapshots of trials are what we have, and I will continue to smile through those too.
