Dark. Red. That was the color of this room. AÂ desk and a chair were the only items in this lonely room.
One morning, I woke up and needed a change. I didn’t have any official plans or ideas, but I knew I needed to make this room fresh, for starters. With a coat of white paint (I used the Behr Painter & Primer in one from Home Depot, and this paint is amazing. It only took two coats to go from red to white, couldn’t be happier) I began a huge transformation.
With a fresh pallet to work with, this room came together in the most perfect way. I pieced together a feminine, classy, and peaceful space where I could work. The last piece I eagerly waited for, were those three gorgeous paintings. Painted by a local (and truly gifted) artist, my vision pulled together and came to life.
Something else I LOVE, is this little studio day sofa from Worldmarket. It’s so awesome because it folds down to a bed for guests, but it doesn’t take up a lot of space and isn’t a bulky piece of furniture.
It’s amazing what a makeover to your workspace can do in your life. As minor as it may seem, it makes a huge difference in your sub conscience. Every time I step in there, or walk by, I literally stop and smile. I adore running my business, Jen CYK Photography, in this gorgeous workspace! The resources I used are below, enjoy!
